Getting Started

GoalVault is a decentralized platform built on Scroll that helps teams achieve financial goals through collaborative savings and task accountability. There are two types of vaults you can create or join:

1. Savings Vault

A collaborative savings vault where team members contribute funds toward a shared financial goal. Choose between two modes:

•Usage: Crowdfunding, Public Donations

•Access: Anyone with the link can contribute

•Contributions: Flexible amounts up to the Hard Cap

Private Circle (Invite Only)

•Usage: Close friends, Team Savings

•Access: Whitelisted members only

Common Features:

•Shared Goal: Set a collective savings target

•Deadline: Set a time limit for reaching your goal

•Penalty System: If the goal isn't met by the deadline, a 10% penalty is deducted (sent to protocol owner)

2. Goal Vault (Task + Savings)

Combines savings with task accountability. Perfect for teams working toward a goal that requires both financial commitment and completing specific actions:

•Financial Goal: Set a total amount to be saved

•Task Requirements: Define how many tasks each member must complete

•Task Verification: Vault creator verifies completed tasks

•Dual Requirements: Funds are only released when BOTH the financial goal is met AND all members' tasks are verified

•Accountability: Ensures everyone contributes both financially and through actions

Prerequisites

Before you start, make sure you have:

1.A Web3 Wallet (MetaMask, Rainbow, WalletConnect supported)

2.Scroll Sepolia ETH for testing (get from Scroll faucet)

3.Basic understanding of blockchain transactions
